Ashtanga Yoga & Silent Meditation Retreat
21 – 27 August 2020 postponed – please check back
At Pauenhof in Sonsbeck-Hamb near Düsseldorf, Germany
I will offer this retreat in collaboration with Nils Schmalenbach. The retreat is a unique opportunity that weaves together silent meditation with the practices of Ashtanga Yoga in the tradition of Patanjali and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
The retreat includes comprehensive instructions in mindfulness meditation including guidance in sitting, walking, standing and reclining posture. This will intertwine with daily sessions of Yoga, morning Mysore-style (guided self-practice and led), Pranayama and evening sessions of Yoga Nidra. Additionally there will be yoga theory, enquiries, a daily talk, and opportunities for one-to-one meetings with the teachers.
The retreat is held in silence except for the teachings, guided meditations and meetings with the teachers. The day starts at 6 am and finishes at 21.30 with a daily mindful work period (Karma Yoga).
This retreat is suitable for new and experienced practitioners in both meditation and yoga and will be offered in English. Please check with us about translation into German if needed.
The teachings are offered on a dana (donation) basis.
